Rates
As a very general statement, my rates begin at $400 per hour or per set.
I charge $400 to play a wedding ceremony. This includes music as the guests are being seated, the processionals for the wedding party, and the recessional. In the past, I have also played a musical interlude during the actual ceremony itself. I will work closely with the bride and groom and/or wedding planner to select the appropriate pieces for each section of the ceremony.
I charge $400 to play a wedding reception. This usually consists of about an hour's worth of music to be played during a cocktail hour (usually as the wedding party is posing for photographs) or during the meal. This provides a soothing, peaceful ambiance in the background as your guests chat and mingle.
Or, if you'd prefer a little of both, I can do a combination of the scenarios described above for $600. Keep in mind that I do not have an infinite amount of material, so this may result in shorter sets.
If your wedding or event takes place further than 30 miles outside of San Jose, there may be an additional charge for traveling expenses. If the event would require an overnight stay, you must also provide room and board.
Once we have agreed upon a booking and worked out all of the details, they will be documented in a Performance Agreement contract that I will send to you for approval and return.
